Why should you get a trip cancellation insurance?

Before making your reservation, please verify that your comprehensive home insurance policy includes “Vacation Rental Liability” coverage, which insures all the premises entrusted to you against damage such as fire, explosion, and water damage that may be caused by you or your guests during the rental period. You may be asked to provide a copy of this vacation insurance upon arrival. If you do not have it—particularly if you are a resident outside of France—purchasing this coverage is mandatory. We strongly recommend that you purchase supplemental insurance online.

We recommend Chapka Assurances or Trustiway Assurance, which cover not only your vacation rental but also cancellation (allowing for a refund of your deposit) or interruption of your stay, including Covid-19. Rates are 3.5% (including tax) of the total rental amount (minimum €15). Example: just €35 paid for a €1,000 rental to have 100% peace of mind!
