Why pay a visitor’s tax?

The tourist tax is a tax collected by tourist-oriented municipalities from their vacationers. Its purpose is to help municipal councils fund expenses related to tourism and the protection of natural areas for vacationers. For direct rentals, we will collect this tax upon your arrival and remit it to the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolitan Area at the end of each month. Some rental platforms, such as Airbnb or Les Gîtes de France, include the tax in the listed rate and remit it themselves.

The tourist tax is charged per adult per night in the municipality.

The amount varies depending on the Gîte’s rating:

1 star = €1.11/night/person

2 stars = €1.30/night/person

3 stars = €1.86/night/person
